Heat Design twin wall components are insulated and can be used as an independent chimney. Twin wall flue can be used internally or externally and is completely weatherproof. Twin Wall flue systems must be used when passing through any wall or roof of a building. Our flues are made from stainless steel 316 inner liner, stainless steel 304 outer liner and has high density insulation between these layers. A minimum gap of 50mm must be maintained between our twin wall flue and any combustible material.
Straight Lengths – Available in Black and Silver
Our Twin Wall straights are available in 3 lengths which can be easily combined to achieve the required height for installation. Each joint is firmly secured using the locking bands supplied. All lengths must be installed with the crimped end facing downwards.
These components are used when a change in direction of the flue run is required. They can be easily rotated where required to achieve the required direction.
90 Degree Tee with Cap
This component is used when a change in direction from horizontal to vertical is required in the flue run. The tee cap provides access for inspection and cleaning, and has a drain off connection.
45 Degree Tee with Cap
This component is used when a change in direction is required in the flue run, and can be used with a 45 degree bend when a change from horizontal to vertical is required. This component minimises the resistance to the flow of the flue gas because of the angle created to the vertical axis. The tee cap provides access for inspection and cleaning, and has a drain off connection.
Locking Band – Available in Black & Silver
The Locking Band comes with every connection that has a male end. This ensures that every joint is strong, secure and weatherproof. The Locking Band is secured using a standard straight screwdriver.
The Tee Cap provides access for inspection and cleaning. In addition, the Tee Cap has a drain off connection at the bottom which can be removed to drain off condensation if necessary.
Rosettes – Available in Black & Silver
These decorative pieces are used externally and provide a neat, weatherproof finish where installaltion holes come through external walls. Rosettes are available for installations perpendicular or at 45 degrees to the wall.
Firestop – Available in Black & Silver
The Firestop is used internally where the flue run passes through a slabbed or joisted area. The Firestop is designed to allow for the 50mm required clearance between the flue and combustibles. The firestop can be used in applications where the flue travel is perpendicular or at 45 degrees to the slab or joist.
An H Cowl is a static cowl that is used to reduce the occurance of down draughts. It is ideal for situations where the chimney is too short (conservatories etc) or where the chimney doesn’t clear the ridgeline of the house.
Base Wall Support
The Base Wall Support is used externally to create a base support for the flue system. It needs to be securely fixed to provide support for the external flue run.
The function of the wall bracket is to act as a lateral support to the flue run. Available in either fixed or adjustable styles.
The Roof Support can be fixed to the rafters to support the flue run as it passes through the roof.
The cravat is fitted to the flue run just after it passes through the roof and is fitted just above the roof flashing to give a weatherproof seal.
The Roof Flashing is used when the flue run passes through the roof and is used to give a weatherproof seal. Available in Stainless Steel or Lead. The lead is malleable and can fit in with the contours profiled roof tiles as well as working well with slate roofs.
The Rain Cap is fitted to the top of the chimney and is used to keep out rain and snow from the chimney, whilst ensuring that the exit of the flue gases is not impeded. Our Rain Caps are also fitted with an anti-bird mesh.
The Rain Cap is fitted to the top of the chimney in exposed areas and is used to keep out rain and snow from the chimney, whilst ensuring that the exit of the flue gases is not impeded. Our Weathering Caps are also fitted with an anti-bird mesh.
Guy Wire Bracket
A Guy Wire Bracket is used when the Twin Wall chimney protrudes more than 1.5m beyond it’s support. It is clamped to the flue body and allows for fixing of guy wires to ridge stays. The guy wires are located at 120 degrees around the flue. It is recommended that at least 4mm diameter high tensile wire is used. Wire not included.
Twin to Single Wall Adaptor – Available in Black & Silver
The Twin to Single Wall Adaptor is sued to join single wall flue pipe or appliance to twin wall flue pipe. It is available in 2 sizes, 5″ and 6″.
